Your Pool, Delivered With Care.
A little planning goes a long way when preparing for your new Luxe swimming pool. From checking site access to arranging suitable lifting equipment, understanding the delivery process will help your project run more smoothly.
Discuss Your Delivery
Before placing your order, speak to our team about your location, chosen pool size and any potential access restrictions. Delivery arrangements can then be discussed for your project.
Prepare Your Site
Groundworks, excavation and any required foundations should be planned with your installer. The site must be appropriately prepared before the pool shell is positioned.
Arrange Safe Unloading
A fibreglass pool shell is a large item that may require specialist lifting equipment, such as a HIAB or crane. Confirm unloading responsibilities and equipment requirements before delivery.
Is Your Site Ready?
Every garden and installation is different. Before arranging delivery, consider the following:
- ✓ Vehicle access to the delivery location
- ✓ Gates, walls, fences and other restrictions
- ✓ Overhead cables, trees and nearby buildings
- ✓ Suitable lifting and unloading arrangements
- ✓ Excavation and groundwork requirements
- ✓ Installation plans agreed with your chosen installer
Important Delivery Information
Fibreglass swimming pools require careful handling because of their size and shape. Delivery arrangements can vary depending on the pool dimensions, destination and accessibility of the site.
If lifting equipment is required, the type of equipment and suitable lifting plan should be determined by a qualified lifting provider.
Good to know: Delivery charges, crane hire, unloading, groundwork and installation should be confirmed separately unless your quotation expressly includes them.

Your Luxe Pool Questions, Answered.
Choosing a swimming pool is an exciting investment. Here are answers to some of the questions customers commonly ask when planning a Luxe fibreglass pool.
What sizes is the Luxe swimming pool available in?
The Luxe is available in four sizes: 5.4m, 6.4m, 7.4m and 8.4m in length. Each option is 3.2m wide and has a stated depth of 1.55m.
Our team can help you choose the most suitable size for your garden and intended use.
Do I need planning permission for a swimming pool?
Many outdoor swimming pools in England can be installed without a planning application under permitted development rules, but this depends on the property and circumstances.
Different restrictions may apply to listed buildings, designated areas and other properties. Check with your local planning authority before starting work.
What groundwork is required before installation?
Installing a fibreglass pool normally involves excavation, preparing a suitable base, positioning the shell, connecting equipment and completing the required backfilling and surrounding works.
The exact requirements depend on site conditions and the manufacturer's installation guidance. Your installer should assess the site and plan the work accordingly.
Can the Luxe swimming pool be heated?
Pool heating can be considered as part of your overall swimming pool project. Suitable heating equipment will depend on the pool size, plumbing arrangement and intended usage.
Ask our team about available heating options and confirm compatibility before ordering.
Is delivery included in the pool price?
Delivery arrangements and charges should be confirmed with Affordable Pools before ordering.
Because fibreglass pool shells are large items, unloading may also require specialist lifting equipment. Crane hire, unloading and installation should not be assumed to be included unless stated in your quotation.
How do I maintain a fibreglass swimming pool?
Routine maintenance generally involves checking and balancing water chemistry, operating and maintaining the filtration system, removing debris and cleaning the pool surface.
Always follow the pool manufacturer's guidance and the instructions for your chosen equipment and water treatment products.
Can I arrange my own pool installer?
You can discuss your installation arrangements with Affordable Pools before ordering.
Whether you're working with a pool specialist or organising your own project team, ensure the installation follows the manufacturer's requirements and applicable regulations.
